F1 Championship standings after 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Sergio Perez’s triumph on the Baku circuit has narrowed Max Verstappen’s lead at the top of the Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship.

After winning the Azerbaijan GP, Perez has reduced Verstappen’s advantage to just six points. Verstappen had held the fastest lap for a bonus point, but it was taken by George Russell on the last lap.

Fernando Alonso retains his third place in the Drivers’ standings with a solid fourth-place finish, while Lewis Hamilton’s sixth-place finish keeps him in fourth place in the championship.

Carlos Sainz of Ferrari maintains fifth place in the championship, while Charles Leclerc jumps to sixth after his first Grand Prix podium of the season.
