F1 Australian Grand Prix 2023 – “Good position to fight for tomorrow,” says Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll

Max Verstappen won P1 in a chaotic practise by setting a new lap record, but George Russell and Lewis Hamilton will be right behind him. Oscar Piastri, the hometown favorite, was eliminated in Q1, and Fernando Alonso finished fourth with Carlos Sainz coming in five.

While in P6, Lance Stroll divided the Ferrari duo, but the Canadian driver suggested that he may have left some time on the table.

“Yeah, I mean it was a good effort, I think we are in a good position to fight for tomorrow. Maybe there was a bit more lap time in it but it’s really tight if you look at the times,” he said.

“For sure I was pretty happy with the long run we did in FP3 so I’m looking forward to tomorrow. It’s a long race,” concluded Stroll.
