Bajaj Auto poised to launch the Avenger 220 Street Cruiser
Bajaj Auto is preparing for the imminent launch of its latest cruiser motorcycle, the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street. According to insider information, the bike is expected to hit dealerships very soon, and unofficial bookings have already begun with a nominal deposit of Rs. 2,000.
Sharing the same engine as the Avenger 220 Cruise variant, the Avenger 220 Street is equipped with a 220cc single-cylinder motor that delivers 18.76bhp of power and 17.55Nm of torque. This powertrain is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Additionally, the front telescopic forks, dual rear shocks, and braking system are anticipated to be similar to those found in the Cruise model.
However, the key distinction between the two trims lies in their designs. The Avenger 220 Street boasts a cleaner and more minimalistic silhouette, in contrast to the Cruiser variant which features a larger front windscreen, chrome accents, an exhaust, a padded backrest, and other elements. Notably, Bajaj may equip the Avenger 220 Street with alloy wheels, departing from the spoked wheels found on the current model.
The upcoming Bajaj 220 Street is expected to offer a range of features, including a fully digital console displaying essential information such as fuel level, temperature, speedometer, odometer, trip meter, and more.
Presently, the Avenger 220 Cruise is priced at Rs. 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and it is anticipated that the Avenger 220 Street will be similarly priced, offering customers a compelling choice in the affordable cruiser motorcycle segment.
As the launch of the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street draws near, enthusiasts and prospective buyers can eagerly anticipate the arrival of this new addition to Bajaj Auto’s cruiser motorcycle lineup.
