Tata Altroz iCNG: Price, features, bookings, variants and more

The Tata Altroz iCNG, which was displayed at the Auto Expo earlier this year, features dual-cylinder technology that can accommodate two small cylinders in the spare wheel cavity. Despite this, the fuel capacity remains the same as that of a full-size cylinder, and the boot space is not affected. Additionally, the spare wheel has been relocated beneath the vehicle’s body.
Launch –
Tata Motors has declared that it has initiated bookings for the Tata Altroz iCNG, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 in January. The hatchback features a unique twin-cylinder CNG technology, which is the first of its kind in the country.
Booking Details –
Tata Motors has made an announcement that the Tata Altroz iCNG is now available for booking at authorized dealerships throughout the country. An initial payment of ₹21,000 is required for customers to book the car. According to the company, the Tata Altroz iCNG will start being delivered in May 2023.
Variants –
The Tata Altroz iCNG will come with leatherette seats, iRA connected car technology, cruise control, automatic headlamps, and other attractive features. It will be available in four variants, namely XE, XM+, XZ, and XZ+, and four colour options: Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Arcade Grey, and Avenue White.
Specifications –
The Tata Altroz iCNG is equipped with an innovative Twin Cylinder Technology which has a total water capacity of 60 litres, with each cylinder having a capacity of 30 litres. These cylinders are placed below the luggage area, providing ample boot space for customers. Additionally, the vehicle features a Single Advanced ECU which ensures a smooth and seamless driving experience when transitioning from petrol to CNG mode or vice versa. The Altroz iCNG also offers Direct start in CNG mode, which eliminates the need for manually switching the fuel mode and provides a hassle-free experience for the driver.
Safety Features –
Regarding safety, the Tata Altroz iCNG provides thermal incident protection, a gas leak detection feature, and a micro switch to shut off the car during refuelling. Furthermore, Tata is providing a standard 3-year/100,000 km warranty with the new model.
