Kia Seltos Facelift Edition: Launch date, price, specs, features, safety aspects and more

The Kia Seltos is a popular compact SUV that has been well-received in the Indian market. With the upcoming facelifted version set to launch in May 2023, car enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting its arrival.

Launch –

Kia Motors is preparing to introduce the facelifted edition of its well-liked compact SUV, the Seltos, in May 2023.

Price –

The forthcoming model has been sighted being tested on Indian streets with some fresh styling elements. Although Kia has not disclosed any pricing specifics, reports anticipate it to commence at around Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

Specifications –

The Kia Seltos 2023 is expected to be offered in a five-seater configuration with the same powertrains as the current model. It will be equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that churns out 115PS and 144Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.

It will also be offered with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that delivers 115PS and 250Nm of peak torque, mated to either a iMT or a six-speed automatic. Additionally, Kia might introduce the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine from Hyundai that generates 160PS and 253Nm of torque, which will be paired with a six-speed iMT or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Features –

The upcoming Kia Seltos is expected to feature a fully digital driver’s display integrated as part of a dual-screen layout with the 10.25-inch touchscreen system. It is likely to retain the air purifier, ambient lighting, and ventilated front seats from the current model. Moreover, Kia might add panoramic sunroof and heated seats to the facelifted model.

Safety Features –

In terms of safety, the Seltos 2023 is expected to come with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-assist control (HAC), and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Its rivals include the MG Astor, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
