Harley-Davidson X 440 set to launch in India on July 3

The much-anticipated Harley-Davidson X 440 is gearing up for its grand debut in India on July 3. This exciting launch follows closely on the heels of the highly-anticipated Bajaj-Triumph bike unveiling, adding to the excitement surrounding the Indian motorcycle market.

The Harley-Davidson X 440 is the result of a collaboration between Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp, marking the first product to emerge from this partnership. Notably, the X 440 will be manufactured in India, showcasing the country’s growing prominence in the global motorcycle industry.

Under the X 440’s sleek and stylish exterior lies an air-/oil-cooled, 440cc, single-cylinder engine. While exact output figures have not been officially disclosed, the engine is expected to deliver higher peak power than the Royal Enfield Classic 350, which boasts 20 horsepower and 27Nm of torque. Designed to prioritize low and mid-range performance, the X 440 aims to provide an engaging and thrilling riding experience.

The bike features a single downtube tubular frame, supported by a USD (upside-down) fork and twin shock absorbers. MRF tires mounted on 18-inch and 17-inch wheels (front and rear, respectively) offer a striking visual appeal, reminiscent of the Pirelli Phantom Sportcomp. The attention to detail and premium finishing touches are evident, with machined highlights on the alloy wheels and oil-cooler, HD logo indicators, and high-quality nuts and fasteners.

With the Harley-Davidson X 440 set to compete against the iconic Royal Enfield Classic 350, it is reasonable to expect competitive pricing in the range of approximately Rs 2 lakh. This would position the X 440 as an attractive option for motorcycle enthusiasts seeking a simpler, yet powerful and stylish, two-wheeler.

As the launch date approaches, anticipation continues to build for the Harley-Davidson X 440. Motorcycle enthusiasts across India eagerly await the opportunity to experience the unique blend of American heritage and Indian manufacturing prowess that this exciting new model promises to deliver.
