Bajaj-Triumph set to unveil highly anticipated 400cc engine bike
The much-awaited motorcycles from the Bajaj-Triumph collaboration are set to be revealed on June 27 in the UK. Along with the design, it’s been speculated that these motorcycles will feature a brand new, 400cc single-cylinder engine that will be specifically developed for this platform.
Unlike KTM engines, which are known for their high rpm rush and raucous performance, the new Triumph engines will focus on effortless riding and strong mid-range punch. With larger capacity and advanced liquid-cooling systems, these engines are expected to offer more power than the 350cc engines from Royal Enfield.
While Bajaj and Triumph will target Royal Enfield as a key rival in the Indian market, the pricing of these bikes will play a vital role in their success. Given Bajaj’s interest in this space for years, attractive pricing is expected. The upcoming Bajaj-Triumph motorcycles will debut in two flavors – a modern retro roadster and a larger scrambler, both of which have already been spotted in production-ready form on Indian roads. Production is likely to begin in India soon after the official unveiling.
