At the 2023 Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki displayed the 5-door Jimny leisure SUV. For a nominal fee of Rs 25,000, the off-roader may be reserved online or at approved NEXA shops. It is anticipated to debut in the second quarter of 2023, most likely by May. It will come in two variations—Alpha and Zeta—in both manual and automated versions.

A 1.5-liter K15B petrol motor with an idle start/stop technology will power the new Jimny. This motor generates 134.2Nm of torque and 103bhp of power. Both a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission are available. The new SUV has a 24° break-over angle, a 50° exit angle, and an approach angle of 36°. It has a ladder-on-frame structure as its foundation.
The most powerful AllGrip system available from Suzuki, AllGrip Pro AWD, is installed in this SUV. It has a low-ratio gear that enhances off-road travel by increasing motor torque and lowering speed. For off-road situations, the driver can alternate between two-wheel-drive high (2H) and four-wheel-drive high (4H). The SUV will be equipped with low-range four-wheel drive for rough off-road driving. (4L).
The updated edition is equipped with contemporary features like a multi-functional steering wheel, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay on a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen entertainment system.
An electronically powered rotary pump is used in this device to squirt water from the outside onto the headlamp glass. This improves traffic safety during inclement weather such as rain, snow, and dirt.
