F1 2023 Australian Grand Prix – Race Results
In the Australian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen prevailed over Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin by finishing first.
Max Verstappen prevailed in an aggressive race after a race with three red lights to win the Australian GP for the first time.
Prior to the initial order being restored for one last circuit under Safety Car circumstances, the final race restart had the potential to jumble up the race standings.

Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz started out in fourth place but dropped to P12 after receiving a five-second time penalty for hitting Alonso during the unsuccessful final restart. Meanwhile, The Aston Martin driven by Lance Stroll tagged Leclerc, who had begun eighth, at Turn 3, sending him spinning rearward into the dirt. Due to the fact that the collision was a first-lap “racing incident,” the stewards determined there was no need to look into it. Leclerc’s second DNF from the first three races maintains Ferrari’s dismal start to the 2023 season.
A great fighting spirit by @Carlossainz55 from P11 to P4, but he finished in a heartbreaking P12 after he received a 5 second time penalty causing a collision with ALO.
