Citroen Unveils New Made-in-India SUV – C3 Aircross

Citroen is all set to debut its latest made-in-India SUV on April 27, and it has been officially named the Citroen C3 Aircross.

This SUV will first go on sale in India before being launched in other global markets. The C3 Aircross is a ground-up new SUV with a familiar name, as Citroen already sells a crossover with the same name in Europe and other markets. However, the C3 Aircross that will be unveiled globally will be the second-gen SUV and may eventually replace the first-gen C3 Aircross globally.

The Citroen C3 Aircross is expected to come with petrol engines only and will likely be available for sale later this year. The C3 Aircross will be around 4.2 meters long and will have a proper SUV design, unlike the coupe-SUV-like glasshouse that has become increasingly popular in the segment.

The C3 Aircross is expected to have Citroen C3-like styling cues inside and out, but it will be a much larger vehicle overall. The split headlight set-up, grille, and wraparound tail-lamps are expected to be similar to other Citroen models.

Inside, the C3 Aircross will share some switchgear with the smaller C3 model, but other than that, it is expected to have unique elements. The dashboard, infotainment screen position and orientation, and seats are just a few of the many elements that appear to be unique to the C3 Aircross based on previous spy shots.

While there is speculation that the C3 Aircross could offer a three-row seating layout, it remains to be seen whether this will be available at launch.
