Volkswagen introduces upgraded Tiguan SUV in India with enhanced features and wireless charging; Know more

Volkswagen Passenger Cars India has recently launched the refreshed version of its popular Tiguan SUV in the country. With a starting price of ₹34.69 lakh (ex-showroom), the upgraded model brings significant improvements in technology, safety features, and interior design. Notably, the SUV now offers wireless mobile charging, allowing passengers to conveniently charge their phones on the go. Additionally, customers can opt for the new dual-tone Storm Grey interiors for the Tiguan, adding a touch of sophistication.

One of the notable additions to the updated Tiguan is the Park Assist feature, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that provides assistance in parking the vehicle. This technology makes parking in challenging and crowded spaces easier and more effortless. Furthermore, the latest version of the Tiguan meets the Real Driving Emissions (RDE) norms, ensuring compliance with the latest emission standards.

Volkswagen has also integrated the rear seat belt reminder in the Tiguan, a safety feature that has been widely discussed and appreciated. The SUV is equipped with several other safety features, including six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), anti-slip regulation (ASR), electronic differential lock (EDL), hill start assist, hill descent control, engine drag torque control, active tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), three rear headrests, three-point seat belts, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and driver alert systems.

Prospective buyers can purchase the updated Volkswagen Tiguan from any of the company’s 157 sales and 124 service touchpoints located in 115 cities across India. The SUV is available in five color options: Nightshade Blue, Oryx White with Pearl effect, Deep Black, Dolphin Grey, and Reflex Silver.

Furthermore, customers have the option to choose the Elegance variant of the Tiguan, which is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine paired with a seven-speed DSG 4MOTION transmission. Volkswagen claims that this engine offers improved fuel efficiency of 13.54 kmpl, certified by ARAI, representing a seven percent increase.

The upgraded Tiguan is equipped with advanced technological features that enhance convenience for the owners. These include intelligent and adaptive IQ.LIGHT headlights and user-friendly controls in the customizable driver-oriented cockpit. Moreover, the SUV features a spacious 615-litre trunk, which can be effortlessly opened and closed with the press of a button.
