On Saturday, July 16, Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk said that the company can lower its car prices if inflation comes down. Several automakers have increased their vehicle prices due to the higher input cost.

Elon Musk who is extraordinarily active on Twitter had replied to a user who had asked if the company has any plans to lower the price. Musk replied that “If inflation calms down, we can lower prices for cars.”
Tesla has raised the prices of its EVs by a few thousand dollars in the past few months. The company has cited inflation and supply woes as the reason for this surge in prices. The auto industry is struggling with semiconductor shortages and several automakers have developed cars with acute features.
