Powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine delivering 88PS of power and 115Nm of torque, the Tata Punch offers customers the choice between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The micro SUV also comes with two driving modes, namely Eco and City, allowing drivers to optimize their driving experience according to their preferences and road conditions.
In terms of features, the Tata Punch is well-equipped with a range of offerings. It boasts a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic air conditioning, rain-sensing wipers, connected car technology, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and cruise control. Safety features include dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, a reversing camera, and rear parking sensors, ensuring the well-being of occupants.
Tata Motors is also set to introduce CNG variants of the Punch in the near future. These variants are expected to have a reduced output of 73.5PS of power and 103Nm of torque, coupled with the manual gearbox option.
The Tata Punch is available in four broad variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. Additionally, there are several feature packs and special editions on offer to cater to varying customer preferences. The pricing of the Tata Punch ranges from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9.52 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Competing against rivals such as the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Citroen C3, and the upcoming Hyundai Exter, the Tata Punch has made a significant impact in the micro SUV segment, providing customers with a compelling combination of affordability, features, and style.
The remarkable production milestone of 2 lakh units for the Tata Punch underscores its popularity and acceptance among customers, further solidifying Tata Motors’ position in the competitive SUV market.
