Porsche India records highest ever sales growth in first half of 2022

Despite the global supply disruption and rising inflation, Porsche India has achieved a remarkable feat.

On Monday, July 18, Porsche India released its sales data for January to June period of the fiscal year 2022-23. The company recorded the highest sales growth rate at 118% in the first half of the current fiscal year.

Despite the global supply disruption and rising inflation, Porsche India has achieved a remarkable feat. The supercar manufacturer has sold more number of cars in the January- June period of this year compared to the individual full-year sales of 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Porsche has sold a total of 167 units of Cayenne, 125 Macan, and 37 units of Taycan. Taycan is an all-electric car that has recently been launched in India. Apart from these cars, 19 units were sold of Porsche’s family-sized limousine Panamera.

“The figures are an encouraging sign that the industry is recovering with demand for high-end sports cars returning to pre-pandemic levels. This month marks 10 years of Porsche India serving this region and there’s no better way to acknowledge this than with our best ever half-year sales performance for the first half of 2022,” said Manolito Vujicic, Brand Director of Porsche India.

Porsche is further planning to expand in the country with the launch of its two new facilities in Bengaluru and Chennai.
