Indian automotive giant Mahindra has recently announced a price hike for its Thar range. The popular SUV has become more expensive by up to ₹1.05 lakh due to the update to BS 6 Phase 2 and RDE emission norms.

Customers will now have to pay ₹55,000 more for the Thar X (O) Hard Top Diesel MT RWD variant. Meanwhile, the Mahindra Thar LX Hard Top Diesel MT RWD variant will now cost an additional ₹1.05 lakh. The price of other models of the SUV has increased by ₹28,000.
