Dubai man sets new world record with purchase of ‘P7’ number plate for 55 million dirham at charity auction
Fancy license plates are always in high demand among motor enthusiasts, who often go to great lengths to acquire them. A Dubai man recently made headlines by purchasing the ‘P7’ license plate for an astonishing 55 million dirham during a charity auction. This purchase has set a new world record for the most expensive license plate ever sold, and the proceeds will be contributed to the ‘1 Billion Meals Endowment’ campaign.
The auction was organized by Emirates Auction, a well-known auction company in the Middle East, and a video of the auction winner was shared on their Instagram page. The man can be seen waving his hands in front of the audience as fireworks light up the stage and 55 million dirham is displayed on the screen in the background. The Most Noble Number charity auction, which began on April 4th and ended on April 10th, raised a total of AED 97.920 million. The 55 million dirham collected from the sale of the ‘P7’ license plate will be used to create the largest Ramadan sustainable food aid endowment fund.
