The DB11’s successor is expected to continue offering both V8 and V12 engine options. The V8 variant will receive a power boost of 50hp and 125Nm compared to the DB11. The overall design of the new model is anticipated to be an evolution of the current DB11, with teaser images showcasing changes primarily focused on the front and rear styling. Notable updates include a new headlight design and more aggressively sculpted bonnet vents. While prototypes of the DB11 successor were spotted with a lip spoiler at the rear, it remains uncertain whether this feature will make it to the production version.

Inside, significant changes are expected in the interior of the new grand tourer. The teaser images reveal a brand-new center console featuring physical buttons, rotary dials, haptic touch buttons, and an all-new interface on a small screen. Aston Martin Chairman Lawrence Stroll confirmed the discontinuation of the Mercedes system used in the DB11, stating that the new model will incorporate a touchscreen infotainment system with a distinct Aston Martin identity.

Regarding powertrain options, Aston Martin is likely to continue offering the V8 and V12 engines. The V12 engine recently received an upgrade, reaching 769hp in the DBS 770 Ultimate. The V8 variant is expected to be an upgraded version of the M177 unit found in the new Mercedes-AMG SL 63, providing 585hp and 800Nm of torque, a significant improvement over the current DB11 V8.
The new Aston Martin DB11 successor is expected to go on sale in international markets later this year, potentially under the name DB12. While Aston Martin filed a trademark application for ‘DB12,’ the company denied that it would be the name of the new car, explaining that such filings are routine to protect names for potential future use.
